The Shadow is a master of disguise and master thief. Her plots are always foiled by Geronimo Stilton who also fancies her a lot, and is easily manipulated by her seductive tricks.
In more recent books as of Geronimo on Ice!, she is shown to be working for Madame No as her number-one associate and thief.
Appearance[]
She has long, beautiful, wavy golden blonde hair and gray eyes and she almost always wears a black bodysuit.
In the TV series, her fur is auburn as opposed to grey and she is never revealed to have hair as the only part of her body uncovered by her catsuit are her eyes and her feet. Also her bodysuit is navy blue instead of black.
History[]
The Mummy with No Name[]
Her first appearance was in The Mummy with No Name, where she disguised herself as a mummy and then a cleaning lady to keep museum visitors away, but when Geronimo foiled her plot, she escaped.
The Mysterious Cheese Thief[]
In The Mysterious Cheese Thief, the Shadow stole more than two million dollars worth of Stilton cheese in England, and built a house with it. When Geronimo stopped her, she escaped (again), but the Stilton cheese factory owners managed to demolish the house and recover the cheese.

Valley of the Giant Skeletons[]
In Valley of the Giant Skeletons, the Shadow disguises herself as the museum curator Karina von Fossilsnout and goes to the Gobi Desert with the Stilton clan to search for a Tarbosaurus skeleton. The Shadow wanted the skeleton herself. When Geronimo learned that the real Karina von Fossilsnout was still in Mouse Island, the Shadow reveals herself. After that, the Shadow and her assistant Bondi Bobirat are arrested by a tribe of Mongolian mice, who arrive on horses along with Thea, Benjamin, and Trap to rescue Geronimo.
The Giant Diamond Robbery[]
In The Giant Diamond Robbery, the Shadow disguised as herself as her grandmother Molly Ratmousen and went to a golf tournament with Geronimo and his grandfather. When Geronimo's friend Kornelius von Kickpaw found out that Molly was cheating because she wanted the Super Mouse Cup, everyone was disgusted, even Sally (who cheated in every sport except golf). And then it was revealed that Molly was just the Shadow in disguise, as she then escaped in a private helicopter. It was revealed at the end that the real Molly Ratmousen was trapped in a closet all along.
The Hunt for the Secret Papyrus[]
The Cheese Experiment[]
In The Cheese Experiment, she disguised herself as Wanda McSlice and locked Sally Ratmousen in a closet right when Hercule Poirat spotted her, causing her and Sleezer (who had disguised himself and Sally and teamed up with Shadow) to jump out a window and escape in a helicopter once again.
Magical Mission[]
In Magical Mission, Shadow disguised herself as a magic show contestant named Mystery Mouse. She also scared everyone away by using a projector and a button to give them the impression that a lion statue was talking and yelling insults, and was also planning on stealing the crown jewels. After she was revealed by Geronimo to be behind the talking lion statue insults, Shadow took off her disguise and escaped in a speedboat, but not before vowing revenge against Geronimo.

Geronimo on Ice![]
In Geronimo on Ice!, she disguised herself as an ice skater to steal the Silver Skates along with Paolo (who later turned out to be one of Madame No's bodyguards). This is also the first book where she works for Madame No.

The Missing Movie[]
In The Missing Movie, she disguised herself as a moviegoer and stole Mouse Scorsese's film for Madame No due to it having footage of Madame No's crimes. Geronimo, Trap, and Hercule caught them and got proof of them stealing the film, but Shadow destroyed Trap's camera before escaping with Madame No.
Superstore Surprise[]
The Super Cup Face-Off[]
In The Super Cup Face-Off, she disguised herself as Sharp Foulfur, the referee for the Super Cup finals, as well as presumably kidnapping him. She pretended to not see any instances of the Mighty Mice and Sewer Rats (whom Madame No were sponsoring) cheating in order to win the finals between the Squeakers and Turbo Cheese teams. After the first half of the game between the Turbo Cheese team and the Sewer Rats, Shadow talked on her phone with Madame No about her plan to have both teams win. However, Geronimo caught her and recorded her revealing the plans (and taking off her mask) using a banana-shaped camera (which Hercule had lent him earlier). Just as he was about to force Shadow to tell him where the real Sharp was, Shadow quickly escaped yet again, with Geronimo being unable to catch her due to him not being much of a sportsmouse.

- She is one of the few recurring antagonists in the Geronimo Stilton series, having appeared in at least twelve books so far.
- Her real name is unknown, having always been referred to as The Shadow.
- While she is Sally's cousin in the books, no hint of any relation has been mentioned yet in the TV series.
- Shadow escapes after she is defeated in all of her appearances in the books, with the exception of Valley of the Giant Skeletons, where she gets arrested.
- Ironically, she gets arrested in all of her appearances in the TV show, with the exception of the first season episode, "Top Model Thea."
- Magical Mission and The Cheese Burglar are the only books where Shadow is not shown to be speaking outside of her disguises, while Superstore Surprise is the only book where she does not speak at all, nor does she disguise herself as anyone.
